Very very nice, lighting and materials are spot on. Exterior looks kinda CG-ish, but I suppose that's much harder to do.

Thanks guys,
Because I received quite a lot of questions about GPU vs CPU rendertime, I decided to make a fai comparaison :
Load the same scene on both configs, load the precalc lightcache, and render :
CPU : 2x 2680 V3 :
GPU : 5x Titan X OC (~ 20%) :
So to put in perspective, the GPU is more than 8 times faster.
GPUs are Titan X but we could have done with 980 Ti who have the same speed. We bought the the Titans because the 980 Ti where not released yet when we created the node.
Price wise, the GPU node even with 5 cards might be the same price as a dual 2680v2 or even cheaper.
Visually there are some differences between CPU and GPU, I'm sure CG will adresse those differences and it will only be a matter of time to have 1:1 between CPU and GPU.

Thanks for that , looks quite interesting !
So you have like dual CPU configuration or it is 2 separate PC's ?
Also you rendered CPU RT or usual rendering mode with adaptive / progressive ?Available for remote work.

I think that the latest BOXX has room for 5 video cards. If not 5, then it is 4.Bobby Parker

I used the production render with the progressive sampler.
It's a dual xeon 2680 v2 so it's one computer but with two cpus inside
I'm using the Asus X99-E WS that has 7 PCI slots, we bought 7 Titans for this but never managed to boot with more than 5 cards yet, still on the ball though

Sure that's the one I have and it's awesome (site as reference only) : http://www.samenkopen.net/action_product/280710/905123
I ordered it straight from Freek Sparidaens who build it. He doesn't has a real website that's why I gave you the one on top as it has some photos.
If you want to ordre one, here is Freek Sparidaens email : info@bitmakers.nl
Freek's email support was really fast and gentile.
Order was send the same day they received the payment and they didn't had any issue to send the ordres both in Belgium (where I live) and to Australia (where my office is).
Here are some shots I did at home with only 3 cards when I was still in R&D stage :
I haven't got any picture of the actual GPU node I'm using with the 5 Titan X but you get the idea
Best case ready to roll I've found on the market yet, and trust me, it's been years I'm looking after good GPU deals

Stan, no doubt that this is awesome and you did a great job. I just have to ask you as well as others reading, wouldnt it have been cheaper to get 5 render slaves instead of 5 titans? And then those 5 slaves would render the image faster than the titans? Don't get me wrong, I'm not being the party pooper here, I'm just asking a valid question. Locally 1 titan will cost me more than a full workstation, therefore my question. I love the idea of GPU rendering and using less space. Cost wise I'm just not seeing it as a viable option for me at the moment. (in SA tech costs a lot more). I do see it being the future however. Thise VCA clips Vlado posted a while back was AWESOME!Kind Regards,
Morne

The 5 titans are 8 times faster tha a dual 2680V2 (that's not a cheap render node)
So for me, no GPU is way cheaper than CPU if you compare against the same specs, meaning BF as primary bounce.
CPU would be faster (I guess) if I'd use IR, but then we are comparing appel and pears

@Bobby - We do have a tower that can accommodate 5 GPUs and servers that can go up to 8. The only downside is that those motherboards require dual Xeons CPUs.
We're working on a single socket overclocked i7 tower that will house 4X GTX Titan X cards. The GPUS will be overclocked and liquid cooled as well (about 51c at load) This one will be a bit more cost effective as you won't need the extra CPU required with the other chassis. Plus the overclocking improves render times by 10-15% depending on the scene.

Wow ! This looks great. Really realistic feel. Can You tell something about the process of creating this handheld camera ?

Awesome renders and video, 3LP. It's work like your that keeps my motivation up.
I like the wobbly camera in some of the shots- I rarely see that in arch viz videos, if at all. Plus- it's not as nauseating as some would think and felt to me more immersive and personal.
Did you do lots of post work for the video- colour grading, etc...?
Keep up the great work.
