A small preview out of a render from today. Final resolution was 10k square. DR was doing a great job eating through the buckets!

This is the uncorrected image out of the renderer. The color-grading had to be so heavy, since it's a set of images and the customer approved a certain look.
      Here's another previz-render from today

Those look good and cool too!

You're getting a lot of use out of that background atmosphere too.

          Really beautiful work. Fantastic atmosphere.

The only thing I would suggest in the 2nd image - add some displacement to the ground. The perfectly slick/plain ground, is what puts me off in the image.

Well, it's actually water, since it's Rice. Therefore it's reflecting the plants. It's around 20 cm of water and some muddy ground below

Oh, ok. Then your water needs to be muddier. It looks to slick for a rice field. At least if you are aiming for realism...

I think some of it has to do with when the rice is harvested, and also the kind of rice and type of cultivation and cultivar used.

There is actually a fair amount of variety to how rice is grown. I'm fairly certain in most places it is at least planted in water, but maybe harvested in dryer conditions?

Not trying to get in the middle of this discussion. There are a lot of different forms of rice out there, and variance in growing methods. Living in Oregon I don't see many domestic rice patties.

Regardless of accuracy- the harvester LOOKS cool!
