I was surprised to see that there were only 2 small windows providing the natural illumination in the space. The view looking towards the kitchen feels like the light is coming from a glass curtain wall instead of those 2 small windows.

The view looking towards the window wall looks like it has a large light plane behind the camera shooting into the scene to illuminate it. This flattens out the image and reduces realism.

The other thing that jumps out at me is color temperature of lights... Playing with blue hues from the exterior and warmer interior sources will make the space feel more inviting and less cold.

The first 2 cameras could use some additional studies. They don't feel as natural as the rest of the cameras.

I just have plane lights in the windows and the artificial lights. I did play a lot with the exposure. I was going to make the scene warmer, but I really liked the below image and when I applied a warming filter, it just didn't look as nice. When I have time I'll play with the scene.

Thanks! Yes, BF+LC with Denoiser. I could have rendered these out in 10 minutes, using lower V-Ray settings, but I left everything at default. I tested one with 1/8 and Denoise and it looked great, however, I kept things at 1/24 because I didn't want any surprises. I did these over and I'll post an update soon.

Looks pretty cool but maybe a bit too foggy at first glance. What do you mean LUTs? Just gamma or?

I haven't looked at the sample rate in a long time. I stopped enabling it as an element.

If you've got 100 of the same shots and you can get them ten percent quicker then that's a lot of time saved. If you've got 100 totally different shots then there isn't a trend or a pattern that you can apply so that's not worth it. Depends what area you work in

I agree. I have enough on my plate to try and make an image interesting. With my new machine, compared to my old, waiting 1 hour for a 4K interior is nothing. Now, with my old machine, saving an hour would be worth the effort to optimize. 1/24 BF-LC is taking an hour. If I drop it down to 1/8 BF-LC+Denoiser it's taking 10 minutes.

I am still not nailing this one, but I am done, at least for awhile. I am not even sure these are better than the earlier ones.
