i have to idea about it, maybe the photon count is too low,and/or there is problem with the unit setup/search distance.

Is it still there if you turn on anti aliasing? What does your material for the glasses look like? you might not have enough glossy subdivs.

This is the setting I have for the material... Also antialiasing is at Fixed rate.. I dont think it should be from it.. because I had this setting before and still it gave me a nice glass look....

AA Fixed rate at 1 is the same as Anti-aliasing off, and this is most likely what is giving you the artifacts. Try using adaptive AA instead.

Also your glossiness subdivs at 3 are a little low, try 8 or higher.

if u use glossiness most part on the image,.fixed rate has better performance.Set it to 3-4 subdivs, Try with 3 first.

I thought Adaptive QMC would be faster than fixed?

                Here are the results folks..

I tried the same scene by playing with the AA and doing a trial and error theme....

Fixed AA: 15 seconds to render (not too bad for render time... bad result)

Simple 2 level: render time 50 seconds (same render quality too much time to render)

                Adaptive: min 3 max 4: 8 mins

then just to try the render time I changed it to:

                Adaptive: min 3 max 8: 21 min

The interesting thing is that this scene is only a test render where everything is hidden ..
I cant even imagine the time it would spend if I had everything in the image...

My question is: .. is there something wrong with the glass material I downloaded?? Cuz this doesnt seem right....

                These are the images:

There is something wrong with your AA settings
                  Try -1, 3 for Adaptive

The subdivs are way too low in your material. I wouldn't go below 6 and no higher than 12 for glass. BTW, looks more like plastic with that much fog too.
