  • Her Eventual Hesitation

    Hello People of Chaos!

    During the summer 2016 I came across this beautiful Volkswagen Transporter parking on the frontyard of the house where the English teacher of my daughter lives. It really hit my eyes. So I rang…
    After short chit-chat and explaining what I do, the teacher Jimmy and his wife were so kind to let me in and take some pictures. I started to work on it in the same week. I wasn’t sure where I was going from the beginning with this work but I focused on the car modeling so I got it right. There was lot of work on details so that kept me busy.
    Later on I placed it in hollow hills nature scenery and continued. As I went on I got bored by the emptiness of the scene and probably with the lack of space to put some nice details which I love to do so much.
    So I change the settings completely. I started to play around with the “leaving city/world” setting/story. I gave it a try for a day or two. Played with new fresh angles and lighting.
    It ended up with lighting set to early rainy summer morning. My hero is waiting for the girl to show up. But will she ?
    The image was created in 3dsmax and Marvelous Designer, rendered with Vray (BF/BF for the first time instead of BF/LC but it’s worth!). Textures and final color play was done in Photoshop.

        Marek, I think you are one of the few artists out there who really takes his work to a complete personal level with depth few poses. Excellent work as usual, I like the detailed explanation / story

        How do you find the time to do personal work, have a family and perhaps also do work commercially is beyond me

                      This is fantastic. The overcast, early morning/evening lighting with the punch of the lights in the background looks really wonderful.

                      I like that you have the guy's face illuminated by his phone but (and this is entirely personal) I do feel that the inside of his hoodie is a little overbright. I've made a really crappy paint over to show what I mean.

                      I know there's nothing worse than finishing an incredible piece of work, that you've poured hours and hours or work into and then some d*ck on a forum going "Oh I think you should have done this!", so please feel free to entirely ignore me!

                        @AJ
                        You could always do a picture like this with your spin on it. Now that I think about this damn I'd love to see that.
                        Maybe I just send in a drawing for the next monster challenge you do. Luckily my drawings look like a kid has done them.
                        Cheers,

                            I have a dick comment for your dick comment where it looks to me that the inside of the hoodie is in fact a much lighter material than the outside of the hoodie, they are doing crazy things like that these days where the lining will be a totally different colour and hue from the external shell, I know crazy right. HAHA and for some sick reason I look forward to your comments which are often hilarious.

                              I have to ask too how you did the rain water on the vehicle, the detail is crazy cool. Ive been staring at this in awe for a good 15 min looking at all the fine details.
