That looks awesome. Looks like it could be part of the next Onimusha PS game series.

The only thing I'd suggest is putting a texture that's more obvious on those rocks in the foreground. They don't look like they have a tecture on them.

great work .... i would drop the cam down to eye level so the overall scale looks right.

That is pretty freakin' cool. Nice job on blending the background with lighting and all. Are we going to see an interior? Btw, it must have taken a long long time to arrange those stones in your garden.

                  Thanks all

I've been jumping back and forth between the character and the environment so yes, caught me, those stones don't have a texture yet They weren't too hard to make. From the front I just made three circles and distorted them then duplicated the three a bunch, added a noise mod, added a bevel mod, added a noise mod. Then I rotated and translated the whole bunch to duplicate it for the length I wanted.

The wood looks horrible with this test AA level. It's a pretty complex texture now but I'll try to vary it more when I go over the materials one last time at the end.

I always have the biggest problem with my structures looking like miniatures. Now that you say it I agree, hopefully the camera move will help. Thanks

To get the background to match I had to comp four photos together. I still want to make some natural objects and a fence or something to blend the edge better but thanks for noticing

Do you guys think I should cover the roof with moss and twigs.

Here's the solitary character, I think he's almost done C&C welcome....

Everything's modeled with spline cages. With some help from zuliban I'll be converting the cloth to EditablePoly to add some more detailed wrinkles. His face uses VRayDisplacement and I'm hoping I can get the wrinkles to animate with his morph targets.

Here is what was an early attempt at hair but I decided to move on with the clean shaven look.

                  Thanks again,

                      Thanks

Working of his morph targets and some final details now.

A few SimCloth tests and he should be ready to animate

                        Hey J_Bug,
What you're working on looks really nice. Finally a Character Project again!
Textures look really cool! The guy is cool too. I don't like his Chin a 100% though. Something is wrong with the proportions compared to the rest of his head. You have to decide if it fit's his character and only you know how it might look in motion.

Otherwise - just keep it up. I'm curious what the animation will look like!
I' will do another Character Animation this year too. 'Try to make it better than the Griesgram. So, just keep it up mate!

Thanks Geddart Can't wait to see what you come up with to top that wonderful piece. Many things about this guys face have thrown me different ways but I think he's set in stone now. The animation most likely won't be as telling as yours. I don't really have a story and it's just a demo piece but who knows, maybe I'll come up with a good idea before I start animating

Elf... Dude you are so right. I knew there was something about this final version that felt familiar . I always thought Sulu (George Takei) was a good actor and very friendly too as well as Japanese so I guess the look fits this same type of character.

                            Thanks,
