just add a falloff into the reflection slot of your glass material, that will limit the ammount of reflection.

Excellent work on the drops, just the bookshelves are a litttttle dark, maybe a little filling omni each side would be great, but these are just a noob opinion great image, congratulations !

The water drops on the window are looking pretty good. I would consider adding some streaks of water running down the window, as that is what would probably be happening.
Visualize looking from inside of your car on a rainy day. It's kinda interesting what all is happening with rain droplets. They streak down and absorb other droplets along the way, growing in size and gaining in speed.
This may be a bit out of scope of what you were aiming to accomplish and it would require some creativity with tools at your disposal, but it would make for a pretty impressive FX shot.
Off the top of my head, I imagine you ought to be able to get the simplest version of rain streaking done with morph targets.
Edit: Hmm. nevermind Looking at the final image more closely, it seems you already have some streaking going on. Looking good!

hehe thanks. maxxer sent me this cool max file with these waterdroplets that run down in a very convincing fashion. Didn't use them for this but probably will in the future, cause I would love to see this animated with rain and that cool max file allan mckay created that uses particle flow to make water droplets and the like.
ok heres a green version.

It looks realy good. But I think that in the last images the water is much to dark. The light from inside the house and from some street lightning that might be behind the camera should realy light up the rain drops.
I think the brigth rain in the first rendering looks a bit better! In nature the water refracts and reflects the surrounding. that means not only the dark street, but also the room and maybe some (cold?) lights behind the camera are "visible" in the rain. Ofcourse not as a clear picture, but it might light the water stripes up a bit. What do you think about this?

PS: I so sorry for my bad english!!!

ok maybe this is the final. Would still like to create actual raindrops bouncing off the ground and water puddles, but this scene is straining my computer at render time. I rendered JUST the outside ground and it took over 3 hours taking well over my gig of memory. The ground is now more reflective since its wet.
Also adjusted color in photoshop to make the outside colder and the inside a more subtle colder feel then the original. Hope you like, it was a fun project.
