This project started as in-house exploration what we can do with interior animation.
Since there was no specific goal, it took some time to put ideas and skills into balance, and reach the point where we can produce exactly what we have in mind.

The main idea was to create an interior presentation, with that extra touch, to go bit deeper.
It resulted in the blend of interior design strongly inspired by Nordic brands and designers and smooth, sometimes unexpected movement of spinning tops.
In order to push out limits and learn something new on this project, many simulation were made for the "spinners", as well as trying to optimize pipeline for animation and actual render production.

These look pretty great - the lighting feels very natural. Thanks for sharing!

            Thank you !

It was done solely in max '16 using mass FX. it was bit difficult to make them spin properly because of different shapes and also massFX had some thresholds for setting after which it just stop working properly so, pretty much every spinner included many tests of sims. Fortunately it was quite light and fast so it when quite OK.

Oh man...this is amazing. Where is the noise? And the flickering? Are you sure it is a rendering???

Yes, it's a rendering...in the last seconds you'll see a spinner jumping from the ground to a shelf...

                  Heh thanks,

And yes it is rendering there is flickering, if you saw the video so many time as i did you you notice actually quite some flicks in there, it is not like this annoying continuous flickering, but something like small GI jumps. But i am very happy to hear that actually it is not noticeable.

By far one of the best animations out there. Waiting for your next project!
