Latest image of my home project. Going for a clean cornell look to it. Lemme know what you think. Fairly happy with it, but theres always room for improvement.

Looks good! My only comment would be that there should be something attaching the light rails to the ceiling on such a long run.

    Imap or lightmap?

I really like the lights you used on the walls. What are they? They look like a cross between ies and a standard spotlight. Very soft effect. Nice!

very nice! floor material is great

how does it look when exaggerating the colour bleed effect on the floor and roof? Timber looks slightly flouro too but overall very nice and inspirational as always

I agree with Mario about the door frame. It needs more detail otherwise it look a bit weird.

            thanks for the replies

Yeah the doorframe is what I liked the least as well. Think the wood color really clashes with the red floor, but the whole house is going to have as few doors as possible, just openings mostly, its part of its style. I could try for some moulding. Simple molding like on the floor or should I create something more complex for both door opening AND floor?

Paulison: It looks horrible when I dont tone down the color bleed believe me. I had to set the floor and ceiling to .3 GI generate in materialwrapper. This is just a touch of bleed caused by a very subtle reflection on the white walls.

TRGraphics: Yeah Ill adjust the lighting. I completely made this room up from scratch so probably created some things that dont exist too well. Thought about creating rods coming down from the ceiling for support or breaking up the long rods in conjunction with the ceiling rods. whatcha think.

Its Imap with Direct Comp for second bounce.

Heres the IES file: http://myweb.cableone.net/amylenhart...TC-DEL_18W.ies (Right Click, Save As)

I originally used that IES file that you see everywhere else, but am loathe to overdo effects that are overdone to me...hehe It was hard though because its such a great looking IES file.

Thanks again for the tips, keep them coming, Ill make the changes tonight.

sure, but the material is very simple.

has this map in the bump:

screenshot showing scale of noise. The difficult part was getting the scale and bump amount to look good without overdoing it.

                            Hey Percy ..

Nice work .. what do you think if you gave those pictures a bit of bump texture and maybe some gloss.. (not too much though)

believe it or not I already have. I had to tone it down ALOT or the paintings on the far end were hard to make out.
