    Hi guys,
This is my little practise image I've been working on,
i've learnt a lot about V-ray playing with this image.
    All comments and critics welcome.

    Cheers,

    Re: work in progress

    Hi TD..

Nice work .. I think you should either make the water a bit transparent.. maybe adding some underwater lights would make it a bit interesting..

really nice image!....pretty interesting for practice.

      What i would change:

-Get rid of those triangle shapes on the main window, maybe do a regular square mullions, dunno.

      -Better texture of the ceiling.

Now, it will rock if you add some caustics to the image.

Lighting and colors look nice. I can't tell what's going on with the water though. There are waves on the water but the reflections and shadows don't appear to be following the waves. Would there be such chaotic waves inside this structure?

Right, caustics are missing but also the water refraction seems to be set to 1. I also agree with Jon about the waves being way too lively. I suppose the water surface would be almost perfectly flat.

Oops, sorry. Haven't seen the second image.

The waves are ok now, but caustics are still missing, refraction too, and I'd use displacement rather than bump for the water. Maybe also try playing with color mapping to get some more light inside.

                  Keep it up mate.

Thanks for the replies guys, still very new to the whole caustics thing if you can think of any tutorials I'd be grateful.
I tried displacement on the water but it killed my poor p3 (384mb of ram) laptop.
                    Must get a new computer.

                              I have the same critics:

                              - I would leave the ceiling, same concrete as the walls
                              - I would change those triangle shapes (also, it doesnt seems like you have glass in there)

                              - I would add caustics.
