I can't tell you the settings, because it greatly depends on the dimensions of your scene. Better is to study the settings first and then to make several tests yourself.

Just a few notes to protect you from a lot of pain:
To get photons from sky you need to use skylight portals.
point and spot lights (without decay and low multipliers) don't have enough energy to light your scene with photons
Photon maps only work with Vray Materials
