I would suggest finishing the model before you texture it. Id say the proportions are off, but i dont know what your head looks like. But wheres the ears?
Lighting: Our skin doesnt carry THAT much light though it, Right now it looks like a wax model.
The actual model looks kinda weird, lol, i dont know how you look like, if you want us to comment on the modelling its best that you post some reference pictures of yourself.
well, its obvous that you lack a stronger and more defined jaw bone on the model. Widen the jaw end and youll eliminate the light bulb effect
Its also good to take as many reference pictures as possible. Checkout www.3d.sk and take a look at angles they use when making references. Its also pretty useful to keep a mirror nearby when modelling.
