the building itself looks excellent! Hate to see it in it surroundings though.

the building itself looks really good.
unfortunately the repeated trees / plants really let it down IMO...
perhaps this is going to be rectified in the final image? i hope so.

Yes, agree with s0real. repetition kills this one.
I thought the first image was amazing, the plants in the second one distracts from the building too much.
But the night lighting is very good.

another thing that just struck me when i looked at the image again - there's a lot of sky and foreground.

if it were me, i'd crop the image into more of a widescreen format - i think you'll find that the image will be more focused on the building.

then again, what do i know...

Is it me or is that grass in the foreground reflective? The building looks really nice, dynamic form, matches pretty well with the environnement, like some kind of spaceship dropped in the desert... Your own design?

                      s0real and UBIKmh:

Thank you all for the comments.

I think my photoshop skill needs to be polished further. I got lazy with the landscape in front of the building.

The designer loves the image, so I am not going to modify it anymore. I will probably refine the image based on you guys' comments on my own.

                      Nenad:

Yes the grass is reflecting as well. Just trying to add some visual interest to the foreground in photoshop. Kinda after-the water-sprinkler-going-off look. It was designed by Richard Keating.

are you still interested in seeing the light setup? If yes, please PM me and I will post it. If not, I am going to move on.

I'm very interested and would love to know more about the lighting setup.

                        Thanks,

Same here. I find it pretty difficult to make a nice light setup coming from inside the building. If you don't mind posting the settings here, it would be much apreciated. No problem if you do though.

Here are my light and vray setup.

The vray setup was for draft at first but I liked the outcome and kept it for the final. Quick render time but having noise on the metal panel. Not obvious though.

The interior lights are just vray lights lighting up the partitions. Make sure use Exclude/include wisely to reduce render time.

The sky dome is for glass reflection only. It is not visible to the camera. The sunset background was photoshoped.
