The project
Towars outside, the building play the traditional elements of the area in order to underline it`s character and integrate the house with the pre-existing urban tissue, but doing so with a contemporany language and materials. Towars the inside, the program responds to its intrinsic needs. This way, the house presents itself closed, with beams over a gate, bull`s eye windows and small eaves facing south overlooking the garden allowing the sun the enter every room. The site is surrounden with high walls that ensure total privacity. In plan, the house -isolated on the site- is organized around the only vegetation present in the original site: an old ash tree and luxuarint bougamvilla, which also determined the width of the construccion.
The smooth, masive and clossed facade reinterprets the architectural elements within the context of Coyoacan...
