So how are you going to animate that existing site photo? Have you modeled it and put flat textures to it or something else?
I think the building is looking good. Maybe add a little variation to the main tan texture on the building to help it blend in a little better.
When I do scenes with a lot of glass I like to add a slight water bump map to it to simulate what you often see in real glass.
I think in this shot you could benefit from some other complimentary color. You have a lot of blue, but everything else is pretty neutral. Maybe add a different color to the cars or something. I think the trees & rpc people need to be brighter & have more contrast & color in them as well.
Looks cool. Are you allowed to show us the final animation?
Nice one.
The only thing I’d say is to lighten up the scene a bit. The shadows from your building seem a bit too dark compared to those of the buildings in the site photo. Other than that great work!!
Would love to see the animation, if we’re allowed.
We did some brightening in post today of the trees, people and the building, looks a lot better.
For the existing site I camera mapped a photo from about this angle onto some boxes, this shot is just a pull back so they hold up ok.
Glass is pretty basic, a greenish blue diffuse color, about the same color for the fog, a bit lighter though. Rreflection is about 254 with fresnel I think and the refraction is set to 240 or so with ior of 2.6. I tried to be able to see through it but not too much since the nside of the building is not modeled.
I will try to post the animation, probably be a little while til it goes public.
Wow, looks great The atmosphere kinda reminds me of LA. I agree that the shadows could be lighter and a little bluer too. Reflections on glass look perfect. I also like the variety of plants you have on the balconies. The photo building on the right looks a little blurry though, maybe just filtering?
