I touched up the reflection of the chair leg in PS.
For the wood texture (baseboard and trim), the reflection RGB for the VRay mat is 32. Glossiness is .85 and subdivs 10. The chair wood has RGB of 60, Glossiness .8 and subdivs 20.
The floor has RGB of 40 for Reflection, Glossiness .9 and subdivs 20. The Tile procedural has a marble bitmap and it is repeated in the Bump channel with a value of 20.
I had tried displacement on the fabric and decided to go with bump because it was taking too long and not looking like it should. I'm still learning about the displacement settings and do plan to use it.
Fran! Are they actually paying you to render 2 chairs in a lobby with some trees in the background, or is this just a closeup view?
I'm sorry, not trying to be a rude critic, but when I read the title, I expected to see a lot more, as in the whole space. For all I or any other view knows, it could be a residential interior.
As far as the render goes, I really like the casement/trim wood material, but the chair wood needs more work. Same goes with the fabric as you can see the repeat every 2 inches or so. Also it seems that it maybe should be darker under the chairs - are you using lightmap for 2nd bounce? Not quite floating, but almost. You obviously have a downlight from the top out of view so it seems like there should be more shadow under the chairs.
I usually don't make it a habit of offering comments to people who's skills far surpass mine since it usually makes me look silly but oh well!

Hi Tim it's a detail shot of the scene. And a WIP. The chairs are relatively inconsequential in the scene. I'm not showing the focus of the scene in deference to the client.
And I have been paid in the past - and very well - for less.
[edited to add]
This was rendered with 1.0903r, so no lightmaps. Also, the image isn't a residential image simply because I say it isn't, hence the topic title. What difference does it make? Is the content not appropriate for this forum?
The amount of sun on the window frames compared to the amount of light in the room looks perfectly matched. Amazing as always, reminds me of home in Atl, Georgia
Sorry for being so awnry Fran. My criticism wasn't much of a critique at all! That was one of those right before going to bed posts that don't really make sense.
All I can say is I wish my WIP's looked that good. But I still think there should be a little darkness under the chairs to make them look grounded.
Can you show the entire view of what you are working on?
thanks for the wood settings... gonna try them as soon as I get a chance!
agree with timmatron that the shadow under the chairs could be a bit darker...
anyways... looking great, but as said what we see here isnt much of a scene, (atleast not compared to what you usually post!) and if your client allows it, it would be cool to see more of it! and if not - no worries of course...
