question about rgb setting?
Fran, I was working on trying to do good glossy reflections, and after several takes on a floor for just a basic 12x12 interior, no matter what setting i did for the glossy parameter, whether .9 .8 .7 or .1 i always got the same result. after reading your settings, i saw that you said reflection RGB setting 32. so i was looking for that setting, but could not find where to set my RGB equal to 32. so i set each value at 32, behold my material slot began to reflect the background.
can you explain what that setting is, the proper way to evaluate different settings, and was it correct to set each r, g, and b to 32, or what?
Thanks in advance,

Hi Jet,
When the RGB values are equal, they create various shades of gray. So 32,32,32 will be darker that 100,100,100. The darker the shade for your reflection (which can also be any color), the less reflection.Surreal Structures

Hi
That so awesome rendering technique
Can you tell me how you set the LIGHT ?
how many light you put inside that room?
or can you forward me the plain room ( wall, floor and ceiling ) only without the furniture and without textures, i just want to study how you put the lighting and their setting.
thank you

Well, it's been a long time since I rendered that. I'm pretty sure I used invisible Vray lights at each window and standard spots with projector maps for recessed lighting. I will see if I can dig up that scene file.Surreal Structures
