@Natty - thanks.
@Percy - You have a good point. There's two lights on the outside - a Vraylight and a Target Direct. Perhaps I should turn down the multipliers on one? Or perhaps there's some setting in PS I could fiddle with some time later tonight.
@Jean-Brad - hmmm.
@RErender - That's an amazing piece of paper you have there. Nice Mother of Pearl texture you have going as well. What were render times like on that paper?

dont forget that things can be easily faked if necessary. If your not going to have any animated lights and such, you could fake the translucency into the map.
that orange translucent panelling behind the reception desk was a texture completly faked in photoshop. Same with the light panels in the concrete columns, though they are kinda hard to see in this view...

Looking good.
Looking at the apparent diffuse/bump of that table, I wouldn't expect such sharp reflections.
I agree on the chamfering. Those benches would cut your legs! In such a close scene, same goes for trim and beams.
Also, in that last image, the light fixture needs something more on the inside. If it's covered, recess the covering a smidge. Otherwise, you need a bulb inside and some shadows to define the shape.sigpic

Wow - you're a tough sell. I appreciate the feedback.
Really good points on the reflective qualities and chamfering. This may be a newbie question, but how would you handle the chamfering? I've tried selecting the current meshes edges and hitting both bevel and chamfer with pretty bad results. I wish there was some sort of 'auger/boolean tool'...
