  • Corner of building.

    Hi guys.

I'm trying to get photorealistic. What you can see is the entire model. It's to give the client a flavour of the building.

Can you see the light patch on the right hand side? Anyone know what's causing it? The settings are the pre-set 'high'.

Any other comments are also welcome.

Is the tile material reflective? If so do you have reflective GI caustics turned on?

There's no reflections on the tile. Just diffuse and bump.

It's wierd. Could it be caused by the balcony nearby? That's reflective.

The image looks great - the upper right corner is a little too sharp for my tastes - woudl round it off just a little tiny bit.

Your scene casting a yellowish tinge, so it's probably from the tiles. Try making a small render with a different material in the slot and see what happens to your GI. I'm curious about it. If this is what is causing the problem, I guess you could either lower your bounces or throw a wrapper around the white and lower the receive GI that way...

Hmm, very Nice, especially the windows. Look at the Object setting in the render dialog, and maybe uncheck the 'Generate GI' for the orange tiles object, maybe PS could fix it easily if still remaining

Cool tiles - what kind of material are they? Add some bump?

Too much secondary GI bounce. You also have too much color bleading from the orange to the bottom of the soffits above. Not very realistic for outdoor scene. Try .5 multipler.

Your "Sun" might also be too hot.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I'll take all that on board.

It may be a couple of days before I can fix this.
