How much will you be paying for the A5000?
The demand on this card is bigger than 3090s btw, make sure it is available below 3000-3500 first

Can you find an RTX 3090 GamingX Trio or Asus TUF ?
These 2 cards don't have thermal issues, and comes second to the first tier GPUs I wrote above

Locally the A5000's listed price seems roughly 600 USD cheaper than the avergae 3090 actually

Also, the Strix's local listed prices is roughly 600USD cheaper than the Suprim X

The SuprimX and Gaming X Trio is listed as roughly same price

The Asus Tuf is almost 1000 USD cheaper than the MSI

Just to give you an idea, the average local listed price of a 3090 (all flavours) is roughly 3500 to 4500 USD (with the majority of them being more than 4000 USD)

Interesting, is this in the US?

If you can get a 3090 TUF for this pricing, go for it. It is a great card. Should be same VRAM and nearly 35% faster than an A5000
This pricing doesn't make much sense, but considering the current situation and shortages it might not be surprising much
In some countries MSI might have a better local dealer than Asus, or the other way around.. hence cards can be cheaper or more expensive (regardless of their MSRP)

Most expensive card MSRP is ROG, at 1900 Euros
SuprimX is at 1700 Euros or so
TUF and Gaming X trio are a lot cheaper, 1450 Euros or so
        A5000 is 2800 Euros

All of the prices are MSRP

        Best,
        Muhammed

My supplier has back tracked a bit now. Seems it's impossible to find ANY 3090, A5000, or even 3080 Ti

Morne I hope you will be able to find one soon, and feel free to pick any card. There is no luxury of choice here, getting a card with bad cooling is better than nothing

In any case you can put water on it... I saw prices they are just I dunno - crazy.
I just can't seem to trust myself
So what chance does that leave, for anyone else?

I own 3x 3090s currently, first one I got for 2560$, second for 3100$ and third for 3500$
First one in January, second and third this Summer.. so yeah not a good situation for pricing

About watercooling the cards, it is best case scenarios for sure and will be a silent experience, but I would be surprised if Morne finds any of these kits, they are more rare than the cards.. there are none in my country
