Hi all
So I have a 5950X on Asus Dark Hero with NZXT X63 cooler, Asus Strix OC 3090 White
1) My Software monitoring options:
Asus Armoury Crate (came with the Dark hero mobo) - NOT INSTALLED
NZXT Cam (came with NZXT Kraken X63 cooler, with supplied pre-applied thermal paste) - INSTALLED
HWMonitor from CPUID, downloaded - INSTALLED
NZXT Cam and HWMonitor seems to report same thermals, so I'm geussing that means what I'm seeing is correct.
CPU is idling on average around 38 to 39 degrees, but sometimes spikes to 50 to 54 for a second or two if I simply open an app or install something new. During load (VRayBench), I get around 61 degrees. Seems temps are either low around 38, or high, around 61 or 62. The higher the temps, the lower the clock speed seems to go, according to NZXT Cam.
GPU idles at around 39 degrees and the fans dont spin at all, which at 1st was a bit of a shocker, but after some googling, apparently that is normal. During VRayBench CUDA temps go up to around 51 and on RTX around 56, but weirdly NZXT Cam repports the GPU Load is only 1%
2) I'm not a big fan of all the RGB mania, so I will probably install Armoury Crate just so I can switch off the GPU and Mobo RGB's (mobo can be done from BIOS, but then I still need to switch off the 3090 RGB)
3) I did not connect the Kraken X63 RGB connector, since I dont have nay other NZXT RGB devices. However, if I for som reason one day to decide to use the RGB, can I sync the MOBO RGB, GPU RGB as well as Kraken X63 RGB together? What soft will I need to do that?
4) I would prefer not to have 20 different apps for all this, but a single app. Should maybe be looking at the Asus AI suite, or is that mainly for overclocking?
