What happens when you add an eGPU to a workstation? Will vray 5 use both the internal gpu and external gpu together?

Found out if you plug an eGPU in, it disables the internal GPU. Anyway to make VRayGPU use them both?

Yeah, this should be possible. Which laptop do you have and what enclosure are you using for your external GPU?
Did you connect your monitors to the external GPU?

I have an ASUS M16 with thunderbolt 4 and using the Razor Core X external. I found some info about removing the Nvidia drivers, disabling auto hardware install on Windows, then manually installing the drivers again to have both cards active. Haven't had time to try it yet. Not connecting any external monitors, just using the laptop screen. The big idea is having the ability to utilize both eGPU and the internal to help render when I'm on the laptop - plus being able to upgrade the external whenever. I have my eye on a 3070ti with dropping prices - hopefully they will continue to drop!

I wonder if you managed to solve your issue yet?
I ordered a Razor core X, it should arrive soon. I also have a Thunderbolt 4 laptop and Mobo, lets see how this goes
