  • 9 hours to chose my new rtx gpu

    Hello!

Today is Prime day here, and i wanted to take advantage of it to get an rtx 3090 on offer.

I saw this gpu on offer for €1500:

MSI GeForce RTX 3090 GAMING X TRIO 24G TRI FROZR 2, TORX Fan 4.0, 24 GB GDDR6X, 384 bit, PCI Express Gen 4, DisplayPort v1.4a, HDMI 2.1, Zero Frozr, ideal for 4K, Ray Tracing

Muhammed_Hamed Does it make sense to get it or better to wait for an offer for suprim x or an asus rog strix?

I found this one for €1850:
Asus ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3090 Overclock Edition 24 GB GDDR6X, gaming & prosumer video card, LED RGB Aura Sync

Thanks for your fast answer, I have 9 hours to decide!!!

    Hey Grigio18 !

The 3090 Gaming X Trio is perfect at this price, go for it!
Here is mine sitting on my disk, waiting for my next build next weekend

The ROG Strix OC will perform a bit better and has a better board and higher power limit at 480 Watts, so you will be able to overclock it much higher than the gaming X Trio at 370 Watts, but honestly for 350 Euros more it is not worth the premium price

I own both models, I only go for Strix or SuprimX if they are on sale

    Best,
    Muhammed

And this is the first benchmark!

        Is this a good result?

Hey Muhammed_Hamed what drivers should I use?

I currently have studio drivers 512.96

          Congratulations!

Very good score, so that you know the Strix OC card(has to be labelled OC on the box) has the highest power limit of any 3090, could withdraw up to 480 watts. This is one of the best GPUs for overclocking.
If you wanna test that, in AfterBurner you can add +120 Mhz on core and 1000 Mhz on memory, you will break 3000 to 3100

          Best,
          Muhammed
