i confirm that a quadro fx 3700 works fine.....

compared to a Intel E6750 2.66 Mhz, the quadro fx 3700 is 6 times faster...

Hm, that's interesting. I am running the FX 3700 as well. But here CPU RT is something twice as fast as GPU RT (Xeon X5450 @ 3 GHz (8 cores).
Does your system use multi or single core GPU RT? Mine uses "single kernel".

The "single kernel" only refers to the fact that the entire GPU renderer is compiled as a single OpenCL program; it has nothing to do with the number of GPU devices.

Aha. Thanks Vlado. Seems like I have mixed something up.

Make sure to update to the latest nVidia drivers for better OpenCL support! I know that with some of my non-Fermi cards, that I had to update to the latest drivers to get a decent performance gain, and in one case, it wasn't even using the GPU!
