    Is there a list of features that will defiantly be available and features which will never happen on the GPU engine? im thinking for example: motionblur, procedural textures, micro displacement, caustics etc. If it will never support motionblur its difficult to plan ahead using this as the main production renderer. is such a list available?

    There is no such thing as "never" Specifically for motion blur, it will be there and we are working on this, but it will not make it into the initial release.

          While the blend mtl is possible in principle, the next thing you will want is the Falloff texture, which is more complicated (specially the curves)

              Haha ... so true!!!
              The falloff texture is essential for me! And a VRayBlend Material without a falloff map is nothing I could think of.
