Not sure if those were mentioned but two things that would really come in handy to me would be:
alpha value in the vray parameters for an object. Normally the 0 and -1 values work great for quick masking out some objects, but neither the CPU version nor the GPU one seem to use this setting. All geometry renders with the alpha value of 1.
another thing that works with the CPU version and doesn't work in the GPU one is procedural maps in general. I was wondering if it would be possible to have an option to render out/bake those maps as bitmaps for the GPU. I use very often the fallof map to have more control over the reflection and refraction curve and as the fresnel option works fine any map in the reflection slot doesn't.
I think a simple feature would be to add automatic pause for the RT/active shade window. It still computes during a production render and slows down the process.
Here are some times for test scene I used:
RT paused, just the production render with low thread priority on ( I tend to use it regularly) - 25,9s
as above with the low thread priority off - 25,3 s
RT CPU running in the background - 2m 14,4s
as above but with the low thread priority off - 43,8s
RT GPU running and low thread priority off - 28,1 s
So even the RT GPU slows the rendering down
Any chance on releasing some maxscript info for the RT ?
