so now that the radeon 6970 has been made official, is it a better card for rt than the nvidia gtx 580?

Don't have a clue yet; have to get one of these to test...

do you have any idea how the ratio of nvidia cores to radeon stream processors relates to rt gpu speed?
gtx 580 has 512 cores, HD 6970 has 1536 stream processors...
