  • "Building OpenCL trace program..."

    Hi there,

We are starting to using Vray RT 2 and we are stock on the line
    "Building OpenCL trace program..."

It's working on our quadro FX 3500 but it doesn't work on the New quadro 4000 that we have. The drivers are 267.66.

We have allso try to find the *.clbin but didn't had any luck to find it, even on the computers with the quadro FX 3500.

    We did that :

We are on a domaine, may be is it somewhere else?

And another question : the fog color and multiplier in vraymtl is not working ? It's so obvious for creating glass...

Yep, there is a bug with the fog color in the CPU version - will be fixed in the next service pack at the end of this month.

        Best regards,

          ok great,

and concerning the "Building OpenCL trace program..." ?
Is there a way to make it work on quadro 4000? And do you know where I could find the *.clbin file to try to delete it and solve the problem ?

          Thanks

          Stan

It will be stuck there for a while - could several minutes (up to 5 on my machine) - the first time you run it. You just have to wait it out (and pray that nVidia optimize their drivers in the future )

              Best regards,

we finely founded the problem that make opencl haching!

it's the fact of having "sub-pixel mapping" enable...

I thought that the error saying that it was a feature not supported for the moment was like the no decay or something else. but that it would not break RT.

So now that we know that, it works every time when we disable the subpixel mapping.

although we have a lot of time RT that crash when we start it, saying that the scene is out of memory. we have to close everything and start again and it work.
any ideas for that as well? and it's definitly not a memory issue because the card has 2Go memory and for the times where it works, evga precision tool shows only 350 Mo used...

It should not be breaking the RT; will make a note to look into it.

I'm not sure about that one. Can you get me a scene where we can reproduce this to vlado@chaosgroup.com ?
