Yes, you should uncheck it for the test. Your benchmark time is for the CPU and the GPU working together.
Stereo mode is for setting up stereo renders. Check docs.chaosgroup.com for detailed docs.

Yes, could you please repeat the test with only the GPU (Hawaii) checked?

I'll get back you all when i re-render the scene with just the GPU device.

First really GPU ONLY benchmark 2.0 result:

          AMD Firepro W8100

AMD Driver: v.15.20.1062.1004-150803a-184226E (2nd to last latest workstation unified driver - I had to roll back due to Adobe CC issues with current AMD driver)

Thank you! The extra 3 minutes compared to my test should have its cause in using PCIe 2.0 instead of PCIe 3.0

Agreed. AMD only supports pcie 2.0 right meow.

The recent Firepro driver (15.201.2401-whql-firepro-retail) gave me nothing but trouble so I decided to install the latest beta driver (non-whql-radeon-software-crimson-16.3-plus-workstation-win10-win8.1-win7-march10) and switch to Vray 3.30.05. Here are the results of vrayrt_gpu_bench_interior1280px_2048ppp.max on my w8100:

                Vray 3.30.04, old GPU driver:
                731.333 KPaths/s
                50m 33,8s
                2816 paths/pixel reached, 14336 passes

                Vray 3.30.05, new GPU driver:
                744,308 KPaths/s
                41m 51,3s
                2688 paths/pixel reached, 15104 passes

The speed increase is not drastic, but nice nonetheless. Good work!

I assume that the result on Vray RT for Maya would be very similar, is that right?

It should be the same in Maya, yes.

                  25% is very good, actually.
Are you sure it was only the GPU and no CPUs were helping ? We haven't change much in 3.30.05 so it is most likely changes in the driver.

Yes, same system, same 3dsmax version and no cpu involved.

I am sorry if I lacked enthusiasm

The new FirePro beta-driver runs much better than the older one, which gave me BSODs, all kinds of display errors, a horrible piece of software.

yeah I am getting quite frustrated with the lack of driver updates for the Firepro Win10 drivers. I'm happily surprised that the new Radeon beta driver got you 25% better performance than the PRO drivers from November 2015.

Why did you switch to Vray 3.3.05 though?
