The desktop chips appear to be good with up to two GPUS, the server chips will have enough PCIE lanes and memory bandwith for many more cards without the need for an additional PCIE chipset.

An interesting benchmark comparison with Intel's 22 core Xeon CPU - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZtYTPcshyA0 In the test they did, Naples stomped it to the ground. If this speed difference translates the same with raytraced rendering that would be huge!

I don't expect any issues. We have an Opteron system here and it produces the same results as an Intel.

Did you guys hear about the 16 core 32 thread Ryzen chip that is about to launch very soon? It is supposed to launch in the next few months, most probably with the reveal of Naples.
