  • GPU CUDA support Maya utility nodes

    Maya 2017 U4 & Vray for Maya 3.6 stable nightly 27496

    NVIDIA GP100 (enabled) + Quadro M6000 (not enabled)

    Is there a list somewhere of which Maya 2017 utility nodes are support when the Production Render Engine is set to CUDA GPU?

    I was able to find this but it doesn't seem to mention the Maya utility nodes: https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...orted+Features

    I'll make a note into our system to add utility nodes into the supported features list.
    As for now we don't have any official information what is supported and what's not.
    Are you looking for some specific nodes or you would like to know for all of them?

      Ideally, I would like to know all of them, but for now, can you tell me if the following are supported by GPU CUDA:

      - Contrast
      - Clamp
      - Gamma Correct
      - Luminance
      - Ramp Color
      - Remap Color
      - Remap HSV
      - Remap Value
      - Sampler info
      - Mutiplydivide
      - blend color
      - plusMinusAverage
      - Reverse Value
      - Surface Luminance
      - HSV to RGB

            Clamp - SUPPORTED
            Gamma Correct - SUPPORTED
            Luminance - SUPPORTED
            Ramp Color - Here if you mean the Ramp texture, yes we support it
            Remap Color - SUPPORTED
            Remap HSV - SUPPORTED
            Remap Value - SUPPORTED

            Sampler info:
            - UV Coord - SUPPORTED
            - Tangent VCamera - NOT supported
            - Tangent UCamera - NOT supported
            - Point World - SUPPORTED
            - Point Obj - NOT supported
            - Point Camera - SUPPORTED
            - Pixel Center - NOT supported
            - Normal Camera - SUPPORTED
            - Ray Direction - NOT supported

            Mutiplydivide:
            - No operation - NOT supported
            - Multiply - SUPPORTED
            - Divide - SUPPORTED
            - Power - SUPPORTED

            blend color - SUPPORTED

            plusMinusAverage:
            - Input 1D - NOT supported
            - Input 2D - NOT supported
