Hi Morne, I need a bit more coaching I guess...

I decided to START with one of my chair scenes and modify it to use VRayToon:
      - Hide everything except object and camera
      - Turn off Lights
      - Turn off GI
      - Set Background to White
      - Add VRayToon to Atmosphere Effects
      - Set line color to black (if it isn't already)
      - Adjust Normal and Overlap threshold (.5 for each is a good starting point)
      - Hit render

As you can see, the Toon outline is there, but so are some of the intermediate shaders... I don't know how to get rid of those. The chair works just fine in your scene, but some issues in this scene.

      Thanks

      Dave

Final Toon - exports vector files directly from 3dsMax.

Great control for types of lines..

You will need to apply white vraylight mtl as override material in render settings I suppose

Simply, I love to put pixels together! Sounds easy right : ))

Yep. That's what it was. Thanks!

For these sort of things I used to use VrayEdgeTex. Apply white self-illuminated material and VrayEdgeTex into the map slot. It gives you great control of which edges need to be visible. Great control of line thickness, colour and visibility. BTW it's very fast to render. I found it to be sometimes annoying with every "toon" shader that you depend on their guesswork to decide which edge to show or not.
                Hope this might help.
