    Its too bad that camera clipping planes only work in the ......toward and away sense.

      If the camera isn't moving, you can render the scene in keyframes with more objects turned on at each stage. Then you can use a post app crossfade between the keyframes and you'll get the effect of parts of the building fading in.

        old topic I know, but any ideas if ScalpelMAX is compatible with vray1.5 RC2 and Max 8?

        Also, if we want to render to our renderfarm, is it a simple case of installing ScalpelMAX on each of the render nodes (or copying the dll over?)
        Kind Regards,

          Some more stupid ideas about the growing.
          No additional plugins needed.

          Idea 1:
          mix a blend mat - which the one is a matte. Animate the mask to reveal the building.

          Idea 2:
          Apply a FFD box mod over the building (or the parts of it as you want it);
          animate the cotrols so that in frame 1 they are all flat in 1 plane... then move them up as a growing phase.

          Just my 2 cents.

          Best regards,

            If your computer can handle it....use the slice modifier and instead of using the cap holes modifier, use the shell modifier with the appropriate width settings. Produces way better/predictable results i find!!!
