      saw sin city. Definitely one of the more bizarre movies Ive seen. Makes kill bill look pretty tame. The continuous violence actually got kind of boring. Still it was fairly good.

        Off topic, but has anybody tried terragen its pretty good and free

        Its an enviroment generator, with some comping you could get some damn good results. theres also Vue5 infinity but not seen that yet.

          my studio just bought vue5 infinite for trying out with vegetation. If we can knock out a good workflow, we'll be using it for our trees in a scene. Im loving the program so far. Have rendered billions of what appears to be unique geometry. I also love that trees will simulate backlight scattering from the sun. That was an important feature for us for realism.

              yes should be fun. i think if you want something to be matte in vue, it will automatically render out a matte selection pass in its gbuffers. Im not the one doing all the R&D at the moment, but ill be neck deep in it eventually.
