  • Flowing river water

    Hi. I need to be able to fake some river water for an upcoming project. Obviously I've thought about displacement maps and animated noise etc but not sure the results would be that effective for what we want.

    I'm just wondering if anyone knows how this was produced? I'm guessing animated substance textures? What do you think?

    Yeah that is just animated textures - he does say that in the description but it's easy to spot.
    Simple enough to do...various mixed noises, masked to make it different in areas (can actually see that happening on one of the movs).
    You can use distance tex to expand on the idea...make it react a bit differently to rocks etc.
    Even use the Phoenix ocean map for some probably.
    Depends how closely it's going to be 'inspected' I guess
