I tried the Corona color picker, but it's the same issue for me as it was with the Max 2024 color picker.

Does anyone at Chaos know what's going on? And if it's a Max issue (which I guess it is) could you put pressure on Autodesk to fix a fundamental flaw?
    Hi,
can you please describe, what exactly working wrong in Corona Color Picker? So I can forward this info to the devs.

    Best Regards

It's the same problem as stated in the original post, the color picker (be that Vray, Corona or standard) won't select certain colors / values.

Basically any value below 21 doesn't work, and will either round to 0 or 21.

It seems that you are working with values in sRGB mode. It is normal.
21 sRGB is 1RGB, and you can not go somwhere between 0 and 1.

You can read more about this in this topic: https://forum.corona-renderer.com/in...?topic=13833.0

So what is the correct way for working in a traditional Linear work flow? As I've attached?

Will this work the same as Max 2023?

I'm afraid that colour management within Max and the Adobe suite is so confusing, and really not ready for ACES, as it really elongates the workflow!

Hello, its been a while regarding this topic so here is an update, Autodesk has pushed its update 2 for 3dsmax 2024, but unfortunately the Color picker has not been fixed, what Autodesk is saying is that their color picker not 8bit anymore , https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/3ds-m...2018688/page/3 you can check the whole thread here. Right now they want to pin this up as a V-ray issue by saying V-ray ain't precise enough to understand values under 40 correctly If anyone at Chaos is present and can read this maybe they can clarify here who is at fault regarding this issue. Thanks

I've been keeping a close eye on this too, and I understand why Autodesk have made the changes, but until it's working with Vray, it is just an annoying situation.

Having control over the darker values will be great by the way!

It’s going to be a great improvement for matching colors accurately……but it still does not work correctly with vray….so max 2024 remains unusable with vray. Adesk is finally aware of the problem. See discussion at link below

Agree, the colour improvements should be big leap in colour accuracy.

I notice non of the Chaos team have commented, maybe this thread has passed them by?
