My last machine was a boxx, my next machine will be a boxx. They produce quality equipment at good prices (better than Dell or HP) and they cater to the 3D industry. Last year at SIGGRAPH, Boxx had one of the larger booths on the expo floor, whereas Dell didn't have a presence at all.

I agree, My current workstation is a Boxx and it runs great. They have great tech support also, people who actually know what they are talking about. I did a have a HD crash on me after about 13 months with a 12 month warantee(I think it may have been virus related). They still sent me a new HD, even though it wasn't under warantee.

My next machine will be a Boxx.

yeah most defenently boxx. One of our machines had bad ram which has showed up soon after we bought this workstation, upon notifying boxx they have sent new ram the next day no question asked.
Then we had a pipe burst on the sealing and our farm got sprayed by water. All nodes survived exept one, the power supply died. They have sent us the new one in following 2-3 days.
Boxx is fantastic, great performance and great prices....and services.

Oh, I forgot to mention, that since my Boxx is a 64bit Opteron, I tried installing Windows XP64 (still beta at the time) on it. The onboard gigabit ethernet card was an Intel chip. Intel had drivers, but only for the Itanium version of XP64 (which Microsoft eventually gave up on). When I contact Boxx, they did some research and pulled some strings and were able to get me beta drivers for the network card from Intel for the AMD version of WinXP64. That is quality customer support!

                    hmm, seems not,

but as far as pricing concerns, I understand why they don't have a problem sending you a new harddisk or powersupply at those prices

asuming dollars are euro's (and in computerland dollars are euros unfortunately) take a look at this :
                              http://komplett.nl/k/config.asp?ConfigSystemId=10131

after selecting dual 270, 2GB ram and no monitor, the difference is 2800,- with the most important difference the graphics card. That's a lot of room for customer support Or am I missing something here?
