      • rooooling of laughter!

Hey, didn't Guus Hiddink say he KNEW ITALY VERY WELL?
At least you'll admit he overlooked a VERY obvious trait of our team

                • seriously, they're playing ITALY!! Most teams would walk out beaten. Now the Aussies have been robbed of victory!! Awesome stuff. This is why I love football

                    • Indeed!

The coach is a GREAT one, and most aussie players play in europe.
So much so that Hiddink met the player for the first time in holland, as it was closer for everyone.
                      Globalised football.

                      • Well i said it, didn't i?
Touch an experienced attacker in the PENALTY area, guess what happens.
In any case, the contact was there, the attacker lost balance, he was tired, he fell.
It's all good experience, and it really seems aussies (the i and s are from Italians) took it good naturedly.
Newzealanders seem to be the bitterest of the lot, apparently

                          • all we have to get excited about is rugby and netball. How many people play that?!?!!

And I thought it was an experienced defender that took the dive

And our lack of soccer heritage.
