well done france and portugal, really happy france beat brazil, as for
england, well, as soon as it got to penalites you knew we would be
packing our bag for the journey home, we just cant do penalites for some
reason. Sven said they had been practising all week, did'nt look like it
to me.
now you have this:
And everybody must remember this day, the Maestro isn't dead hahaha.
That's just the world best player, and the best fairplay man, always the big smyle on his face.
I'm speechless at the ranting of the German media on the Frings case.
I sure would love to be able to read german so to get a first hand impression of what's being written, but boy the stuff that's being reported is plain sad.
Does anyone really think the FIGC (italian soccer federation) has enough power to influence FIFA to act unjustly against a player of the organising nation?
FIFA itself released a statement today denying ANY implication from the Italian FIGC: i deduce that either FIFA is in the palm of our hands (so WE ourselves gave 4 games of disqualification to our own player, duh!), or those stating the blame is on FIGC are plain malicious, and probably scared to death of losing.
EVEN IF the italian media published the pictures of the "punch", which is plainly FALSE as german television aired the incriminating footage first, this alone would mean the punch was never thrown, or never landed on another player's face, or that the incriminated player should not have been punished?
EDIT: as you can see from the picture here (obviously this one is from one italian newspaper) the punch IS given, it DOES LAND, and the TV showing it is a certain SkySports.
The tones of our media has been a praising one for the German team, not a bashing below the belt.
I thought journalists were bad here, i have to rethink that, i guess.
Let's enjoy the semi-final, and let's hope the best team wins.
