  • Centering the Pivot - Maxscript?

Is there a shortcut i can put on my quad menu for centering the pivot on an object? Or is this a maxscript thing? Anyone know how if it is?

    Cheers

simply multiselect the object you want, go to the 4th pane of the max tools, and select affect pivot only -> center to object.

It will center each pivot to its respective object.

was hoping to have a one-click shortcut command i could put on my quadmenu instead of going to the command panel all the time. working with different architects in different offices i get all sorts of geometry to work with and use this a lot.

      cheers

You can easily make a button. First of all you need your new new empty tool bar. then type the command centerpivot $ into the maxscript little red window down the bottom left hand corner.. then click and drag from that window onto your toolbar.. there you have a little button that will do exactly what you want.
