  • AdvanceNoise Material

Hi all, we have made a new noise material for max9x32 and x64 an would like to share it. If you like i can add new functions if i can find the formulas.
Maybe i can make a project at sourceforge for this if have some time. Also if you find some bug just tell me.
For now there are this functions: Cell, fBm, Perlin. Periodic, Turbulence.
There is also a fractal option but it's not working very well. The base code is from the noise function from max, and the noise functions are based on cgtoolkit formulas.

    Best regards,
    Daniel Santana

    [EDIT]
Zip with all versions and vc runtime. Adds a new texmap and some bug fixing for maxscript access and bump mapping support.

    [17/07/2007]
New texmap (MusgraveNoise) and bug fixing.
    [edit]
There was a pretty stupid bug that didn't let the map slots work, but it's now solved, also we can now mix the colors of this slots with the color modes of voronoi. Didn't have time for max9x64 only monday, will there be an update.
    [29/04/2007]
version 1.1.5 adds some new options to voronoi and show map on viewport. Also any files saved with the old version will lose the Output parameters.
    [30/04/2007]
Added max9x64 plugin again. Also i setting up a page with some information about it at http://www.4arq.net/advnoise/advnoise.htm.

Please use all this at your one risk i cannot be held responsible if anything goes really wrong.

Ok i know what it is. It's the vc runtime libs i will make a installer but it will take a while. I will post it really soon.

P.S. Is there a way to force a compile with a specific vc runtime?

          Best regards,
          Daniel

OK i found that this is due to the new vc runtime in sp1 so here it's a quick fix to this and can't build against the vc of 3dsmax9.

The VCRedist for x86 and x64, so we can get away with no installer, of course it's required to install in all render nodes.

P.S. I'm working on a installer with support for network deployment and support for patches, probably in a .msi form.

            Best regards,
            Daniel

Hi again, in the first post there is now a link to the installers for both max9x32 and x64. If someone requires a build for max8 or max7 i can upload it too.

Thanks for the replies. Any problem just say or if you found a cool function to use i will add in the future builds.

                Best regards,
                Daniel

Nice Job so far! I'd vouch for a Voronoi/Worley implementation Very flexible
