Inside "AdvNoiseMax9x32.zip" is the file "AdvNoiseInstallerMax8.msi". Is the file just named wrong or is that the proper file for Max 9?

Oops, i made a mistake in the zip names. The max8 zip is max9 and max9x32 zip is max8. I cannot change this beacuse i'm not at the office and cannot access our website.
UPDATE: This problem is now corrected.

Hi Priad,
I' uploading a new version with no installers (it only requires that you have the vc runtime installed). It also has a port from the musgrave noise of blender implemented has a new texmap.
There are a number of bug fixes, it nows supports bump mapping, and some other ui changes.
The link should be in the first post in a few minutes.

Hi,
that has been on my list for long now. Thanks for sharing!
It's a pity that it doesn't work with my ISO plugin. It crashes right away. However I am not sure if the problem is in my code or not.

Add:
For the runtimes you have to have the exact same runtimes in your build environment as the discreet guys. So If you do an update to your visual studio you are compiling with the wrong runtimes. Only the "clean" VS2005 Libs generate the right version.
We have separated the one lib version that works and link with this using the intel compiler (produces much faster code anyway). This way its also possible to compile for max8 with VS2005 (linking with the VS2002 libs) without problems.

Thanks for the pointer Dieter,
I have been using the updated VS runtimes, but didn't have any problems so far. I don't have the intel compiler, my bosses don't think it's worth since it's only me that use, made i have to make a few more internal tools so they think is worth it.
Also i did tried a few builds back vrayiso with the advnoise and it worked. Do you want a special version with pdb's, or may the source code, so we can make them work together (i'm on a newer build of vray that doesn't seem to work with the lastest rc5 of vrayiso).
P.S. I will have to reinstall vs if it really requires the old vc libs.

Hi,
I think we should wait for the next official release and sync both plugins with it then. (I have given up to keep pace with Vlado's releases long time ago)
If you have the right runtime libs the users do not have to install the libraries seperately.

Many thanks Daniel! You can never have enough noise. It's the one thing that max is missing the most.
Ever since I switched from LW to Max it's been the thing I've missed the most, along with not being able to use Denis Pontonnier's procedurals either.
If you could integrate some of Denis' textures too then I'll promise to donate!
Check out his web page... http://perso.orange.fr/dpont/plugins/Textures.htm
The most usefull ones I found were
Stained
Weaves
Windy wave
Wavey water
Rocks
Dunes
Stones
Rain drops
Flow noise

Ok i will have a look and if i have a few time free i will implement them in max. I'm now working also on a port of the ivygenerator as a max object, but just in the planning phase, since i have a lot of work now and cannot do too much of programming.
[edit] I had a quick look i they seem pretty cool.
