Welding vertices in max 9

Hi there,

Does anyone know why I cannot weld some vertices in max 9. I have units at mm's and have overcome this problem before by creating a brand new spline and then attaching the problematic one..but this wont even work.

Any ideas ??

If your object is an editable poly object, some reasons for not being able to weld are:

double faces/edges/
or your vertices do not share an edge

(#s are Vertices), this ascii art illustrates 2 tris/1 quad, dashes are edges

1-------2
|       |
3-------4

Vertices 1 and 4 will not weld because they do not share a common edge, neither will 2 and 3
