              Convert it to an editable poly and it should render fine however you do it.

                The ivy doesn't animate in VIZ 2008, or am I wrong?

                  ok. back into an old post. im trying to do some ivy and for some reason when i render with backburner the material IDs are set to ID1 and when using DR the DR slave is the same.
