  • Particle flow deflectors ? help !

    Hi Guys,

I have a scene where objects are bursting out of a cracker. I am using particle flow to explode these objects around.
I have setup a deflector but when the shape instance particles come to rest they sit half below the deflector surface. The particles need to sit on the surface and react with the surface almost like a reactor scene...is this possible using particle flow and deflectors ?

The shape instances are streamers so they arent uniform like cubes or spheres..

    Cheers
    Regards

PFlow itself doesnt allow for shape collisions. There's some kind of script to integrate with reactor if i recall right. Am not sure tho.

You might want to take a look at rayfire http://www.mirvadim.com/ along with the NVidia PhysX plugin it allows simulating in real/near real time.

Funnily enough I came across that plugin whilst searching for a solution for this. Looks pretty awesome. Shame I have to pay $280 just to get the particles to behave like this..
