Well, that client is enerving ... I'm fixing a job and the briefing has phrases like:

    - Maybe this area is brighter ???
[Are you asking me to do it lighter or are you telling me that it is too bright?]

    - Check the wood behind the counter to make sure it is correctly mapped.
    [not visible on render]

    - I can't tell by the render, but check this to see if it is correct.
[You can't see if the render of YOUR product is correct but you want me to check.]

    - The color of the texture is too white ???
    [Sigh ...]

I remember a client once asked on a landscaping project: "how accurate is that bush?"
......"about as accurate as a bush."

I worked for few years designing projects in China( Tianjin) then when we sent the renderings to our clients in china they said that the sky wasn't blue and the river was too dark..well their sky is grey all the time and the river is almost black... they didn't want to see asian people on the renderings.

I found that the words the clients like to use to get something from free is "is it posssible..." and the answer is, Yes it is, if it's possible to get more money from you"

I had client that she was complaint about color matching....after several meetings talking about that and getting the values from the manufacter the problem was that she picks colors under artificial light and of course the colors didn't match under her eyes....interior designers

I did some interior for a big corporate company and i used some cutouts "Business People" and one of then was a black woman had a little bit of green tint from the background....the clients said that if i can take "Green Latifah" out

A couple months ago I had to render a theater lobby. Two interior shots. I also put on the proposal that I would take a photo of the exterior and tweak the colors of the building in photoshop. $300 is what I priced the exterior view at... plain to see on the proposal.

Client says, "hey, I'd like to save some money... how much would I save if we didn't do the exterior??"

          I say "....uhh.... $300."

Client- "Oh...that's it, huh? And what if I was to give you more time? Could we lower the cost then??"

Later on at a site walk-through... client says "This should be about 32 hours of work for you" .... when I had already clearly priced his renderings at 22 hours. How he thought he knew... I have no idea...

Same guy made me drive 40 minutes to his house to pick up the check. Unbelievable.....

just got this one on monday
            - Hows the project coming? can i see something? the client is riding my ass because i told them the deadline was the 26th
            - But i told you the project would be finished on the 28th

            - I know. is there any way you can speed it up and give me something to show them
-I could send a video of whats been rendered so far on the project. but its nothing much.

            - Anythings better than nothing

            - Why are there all these gaps in the video? I cant show this to the client
            [Sigh ...]
-Because its not finished yet. Call me again on the 28th and ill send you something you can show your client (as per our original agreement.)

I made a 3 minute movie for an industrial fair of some new products they wanted to show.

On the first day of the fair the marketing chef calls me from the booth and is very very upset:

"WHY DID YOU MAKE THE MOVIE UPSIDE DOWN !
DO YOU THINK THIS IS FUNNY, I WILL KILL YOU!!!!1!"

It turned out the booth builder had mounted the huge plasma screen upside down.
Instead of admitting his error he tried to put the blame on me
                      Reflect, repent and reboot.
                      Order shall return.

Just had a client let us know their bed covers must be 300 thread count.

And of course "fix reflections in glass" was marked up all over the place.

If that wasn't in the original agreement that's an extra, a BIG extra.
