Slow to delete

Is anybody having issues with long delete times in 3ds MAX? When I select a layer and hit delete it takes minutes to delete the data on that layer. I am suing 3ds MAX Design 2011. I am writing this while waiting for a layer to delete

I would strongly consider a reinstall of the software. You seem to be having quite a few strange problems lately. Either that or delete your 3dsmax.ini file and create a new one just in case something got messed up in there.

Happens to me too. I'm using 3dsmax 2011.

Happens to me all the time. Deleting large numbers of objects takes forever and - when deleting very large numbers - may cause crashes (Max 2011 and Max 2010)

Convert the objects to Edit mesh and delete, can be a solution?
