  • Sun setup memory

Is there a way that I can save my sun location per camera view? I typically change my sun location, per camera view, and I have to manually write down the setting for when I have to go back to that view.

When doing multiple views in one scene i tend to create a layer with the lightsetup and camera per view. So turning on the layer that is named like the cam works fine for me.
Another option is animating the Camera + sun position, so each frame is one view. This also enables easy batch rendering via simply submitting as a sequence.

I do the same as Thorsten. I have a naming convention where any layer prefixed with "1_" means it's toggleable for different setups.

My convention would make layers like this

      1_Sun.Camera01
      1_Sun.Camera02...

Only 1 layer of 1_Sun can ever be on a time. This translates to other people understanding relatively easily how I work in the studio.

okay. I guess I didn't think you could have more than one sun system. Sounds easy enough and a no-brainer.

            yes
I have a sun for each camera and just switch on and off the relevenat sun per camera
vraysky updates automatically depending on which sun is switched on
            Kind Regards,

You can also use scene states to save a lighting setup for each view.
