  • Rendering in the Cloud

To get started with Autodesk® Cloud rendering, go to http://rendering.cloud.autodesk.com. Click ‘Sign In’ to enter your current Autodesk ID and password, or create a new account. After signing in, upload your files and start rendering in the cloud.
If you use Autodesk® Revit® software, download and install the plug-in after signing in at http://rendering.cloud.autodesk.com. The plug-in will enable you to access cloud-based rendering from within your Revit software.

So, when is the Chaos Group going to make V-Ray for Revit? Revit, V-Ray, and Cloud Rendering! I am not sure when they'll offer cloud rendering for MAX, but I doubt they'll have V-Ray ready servers.

If you don't mind, how long does this take you to render locally on one of your machines?

Do you mean you stopped the cloud rendering at 25% and that took 3:13, for an approx. time of just under 13min total?

                What's your local machine?

I used my laptop, which is a gaming laptop with a Core i7 processor, 8GB of memory. I'll try my desktop tomorrow.

So using the cloud it took about the same amount of time as your laptop right? Thanks for checking BTW.

also, simple scene with poor quality texture maps. I can image that it would take an hour + to upload a large model with high quality maps.

So your machine would take 52 minutes to render that?

Is the revit 10 minute shot above the one you rendered? Is it 10:00 or 3:13? I'm confused. How long (or approx. how long) would it take to render that 10 minute shot on your machine?

I rendered a model that comes with Revit. It would have taken 52 minutes on my laptop, and it took 3 minutes in the cloud. I rendered it at the highest setting, and both were 2000 x 1000.
