Thanks Bobby. Interesting to see how useful it would be on an actual project when you consider upload times, local renderfarm, cloud renderfarm load, etc.

here is a screen grab showing "Render in Cloud". I'll now do the render on my workstation, which I'll post the specs, too.

Okay... here are two screen grabs showing both renders. The cloud took just over 3 minutes, and the local took over 1 hr and 45 minutes.

Thanks again. That's quite a speed improvement but I really can't believe it took 105 minutes for that POS render.

Revit doesn't support multi-core, so it'll be slow. The speed, and quality, flashes me back to the early 90's.

No multicore??? That's what reminds me of the early 90's. A 105 minute render back then would have still been a long one (at least for me) and considering it was ~20 years ago it would only take a minute or so to get that quality now (honestly a huge guess that processors are about 100x faster).

Here are some images I did in the early 90's, and they would take a day to render.

Hold that thought on Revit and Multi-core processing. I'll do some research, it might have changed in the last several releases.

it looks like it does support multi-core processing, but I only saw one bucket at render time. During the pre-pass I see all my buckets.

and this panoramic render took about 4 minutes to render, in the cloud.

Can't believe you still have those images. It would take me quite a while to get some images from then (floppy, zip, ????).
